Bio

A writer at heart, Lauren Jaimes has always had a passion for authentic storytelling.  This passion is what led her to Berklee College of Music, where she began to lay the foundation for her singular sound, a unique blend of Country, Folk, and Americana.

Now that Lauren calls Rockaway Beach, NY home, her music has evolved to evoke a "Coastal Country" western vibe that melds small town beach living with musical influence from some of her favorite artists, including Kacey Musgraves and Johnny Cash.

Lauren's debut music video for her single "Home Is Where You Are" has garnered over 44k views and been featured on CMT.com, American Songwriter Magazine, and Vevo's True Country Playlist alongside artists like Willie Nelson, Ashley McBride, and Toby Keith.

Written the day after her wedding, Lauren's newest single "American Southland" is not only a love song to her husband, but also an ode to his home state of Texas.  This wistful roadtrip bop is full of Southern charm, and was first debuted live at The Mohegan Sun Casino's Wolf Den.

Artist statment

I grew up in a musical household where a love for writing and poetry was instilled in me from an early age.  As a writer, I strive to be truthful and authentic in everything I create.  As an artist, I feel most at home telling stories in that special place where the Country, Folk, and Americana genres intersect.

I often write from real life experiences or the experiences of others that have come in and out of my life, and I enjoy taking a small idea or a simple truth and building a message or story around it.  This can come as a snippet of a melody, a conversation I heard one day on the bus, or an interesting phrase or title.  I love the challenge of turning a fragment into a full song.

If you are reading this, I want to say thank you for your interest in me and my music.  I hope you will continue to follow my journey as I continue to grow and create; learning as much as I can, writing as much as I can, and singing wherever they'll let me.
